About the work...
I was being drawn to more abstracted work and started making paintings that reflected my studio life - the wall and floors - where the paint would fall or collect in drips from a canvas. I have always had a bit of a thing about knackered peeling fly posters on the street and old graff tags etc…the slight emptiness and lost quality. These accidental and supplementary marks are my inspiration for these new works on paper, working with layers of spray paint and acrylic until the right amount of natural form has accumulated.
